This would be the perfect draft for the Raw/Smackdown brands.
Raw 1 - Renee Dupree
Quote - "Last year with the #1 pick, Smackdown broke up a dynasty. With our first pick, this man returns to the elite brand. Raw selects Renee Dupree!"
Thoughts - It would put Dupree who was stale on Smackdown back with Grenier on Raw, plus it would allow for the ejection of Conway from the group, who has potential as a singles wrestler.
Smackdown 1 - Christian
Quote - "Well, this man predicted he would be first in the Smackdown draft and now he has the chance to prove if he can defeat John Cena. Smackdown selects Captain Charisma, Christian!"
Thoughts - The seeds have been planted for this move, and Christian has been quite popular as of late. It would be a great switch for him.
Raw 2 - Charlie Haas
Quote - "Looks like there might be another reunion of sorts on Raw; a reunion of 'The World's Greatest Tag Team.' Raw selects Charlie Hass!"
Thoughts - He's been wasted on Smackdown and I believe he would be a great fit in Evolution. Plus he can work off of the Benjamin - HHH rivalry from a year ago to set up an angle with what side he is on.
Smackdown 2 - Simon Dean
Quote - "Looks like Smackdown just swiped some advertising money from Raw. Joining Smackdown will be the creator of the Simon System, Simon Dean!"
Thoughts - He would be a great fit in the cruiserweight division and can be a force in the division if all the Lucha stars they signed get some TV time.
Raw 3 - Hardcore Holly
Quote - "Raw has a new enforcer for the boys in the back. #3 is Hardcore Holly!"
Thoughts - He could be on Sunday Night Heat, basically helping new wrestlers learn the ropes.
Smackdown 3 - Randy Orton
Quote - "Well he's injured now, but when he returns, he'll be welcomed with open arms to Smackdown. The #3 Smackdown pick is the master of the RKO, Randy Orton!"
Thoughts - It would be interesting to see him on the other brand when he returns from injury, plus it would lead to a main event feud with John Cena at Wrestlemania 22.
Raw 4 - Heidenreich
Quote - "This is an interesting man who Raw has just selected. His, um, poetry, will now be seen on the flagship station. Raw drafts Heidenreich"
Thoughts - He can join a tag team with Snitsky, which would work so we could only see one of their matches, not two. Plus it would put a fresh face on the tag team division.
Smackdown 4 - Lillian Garcia
Quote - "Oh I like this pick. We just grabbed the loveliest lady on Raw and a new ring announcer. Please welcome to Smackdown, Lillian Garcia!"
Thoughts - I think itd be cool just to show off how nobody is safe in the draft, not even ring announcers. Then they could put Chimmel on Raw in a trade or something like that.
Raw 5 - Miss Jackie
Quote - "Here is someone who is not a stranger to the Raw brand, and will be an asset to the women's division. Raw takes Miss Jackie!"
Thoughts - The womens division is in shambles now, and she is the only woman on Smackdown who can actually wrestle, so put her on the same show as the belt.
Smackdown 5 - Val Venis
Quote - "We at Smackdown just drafted one of the best pure wrestlers on Raw. The #5 selection is Val Venis!"
Thoughts - If anyone needs a fresh change, its him. He could be dominant with a gimmick change and new opponents every week.
Raw 6 - Kurt Angle
Quote - "At Wrestlemania 21, one of the greatest matches in the history of this industry took place. With our last selection, Raw will have the exclusive rights to the rematch to the match of the year. We take the only Olympic medalist in WWE history, Kurt Angle!!"
Thoughts - He could be a great leader to the locker room on Raw, plus I like the idea of having all the members of Team Angle back on one brand again.
Smackdown 6 - Shawn Michaels
Quote - "Not so fast playa. Raw does not have the exclusive rights to the rematch of the year because Smackdown just drafted the Showstoppa, The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels!"
Thoughts - It would be cool to see this happen and these two switching would make sense at the end of the draft, since the two of them are the biggest stars to get drafted.
Final Notes
1. Although Christian seems like he will be drafted to Smackdown, what if he isn't? I think it might be cool for the 'schwerve' to be pulled on all of us and have them draft someone like Tomko instead. Then you would have a mopey Christian on Raw, who can get a fresh start and capitalize on his newfound fandom.
2. One major thing I noticed about this draft is that I put Holly, Haas, and Jackie all on Raw through picks. Perhaps instead, a trade could occur with these three, and Raw would get different talent like Jindrak or one of the Bashams.
3. I shyed away from picking champs, but I see that happening in a draft down the line, just for creative to install a tourney for the new champ.
4. I think after the draft, Evolution will be retooled. I expect HHH to declare he's taking a break, and insist Flair finds some new meat for Evolution. This could lead to some interesting moments, maybe some good turns, and fresh starts. I believe the new members will be Masters and Haas, as you have the muscle of Batista - Masters, and the ring technician of Orton - Haas.
